1. ** Hervey Bay Open Day generously sponsored by the Pro Shop**

The timesheet is open for viewing. There are quite a few gaps and even some two’s as I am waiting for some late payments to come through and also accepting late nominations.

Friday morning, I will try to close those gaps where possible, so there may be a few changes to the timesheet. If you are involved you will get an email.

Early on Mon 27th, the Pro Shop will pre register all players. This means you only need to go to the Pro Shop if you are using a card, booking a cart or shopping. Get your name crossed off at the Vets Table as usual. Looking forward to a great day. Sandra

2.Garden Beds GUR Rule Change.

A reminder that Garden Beds on Holes 10, 11 and 18 are no longer GUR. (See January Club Captain’s Newsletter item.)

4.TWO NEW LOCAL RULES Apply from 3/11/25

The dead grass areas on FAIRWAYS has been declared GUR as an interim measure. It only applies to areas on the fairway you are playing and does not include areas in the rough.

Rule 1. Free Relief from Edging Grooves around Green if the ball lies on or touches the groove.

Rule 2. Relief from Interference by Kangaroo Dung.

More Information

The MENU has been updated. In order to keep the menu suitable for mobile devices some menu items have been moved to “More Information“. Click the More Information item and it opens a second list of pages that you may wish to refer to.

6. $700 Raffle

We have joint winners of the $700. Congratulations to Des Webb and Wayne Goodwin. They both received $350.

7. Player’s Jackpot

Jackpot Draw: Darian Stewart was drawn but he did not play. Jackpot next week $120.

8. Vets Online Payments

Online payments can be made using the “Online Payment” page shown on the main menu. However, it is quicker and easier if you set up the HERVET app. This is the name of Vets’ online payment app. To set up merely type payhbgv.square.site on your internet browser then add the page to your Home Screen. This will place the green Hervet app on your phone. If you would like any help doing this don’t hesitate to ask Wayne. Once you have loaded the app you can customize it to use Square Pay which simplifies purchases.

There has been an issue with using Square Online on computers and on some phones. It has been upgraded to solve this issue. The revised version now shows 3 new icons on the top right.

  1. A green outline square (please ignore that icon)
  2. A magnifying glass ( search icon – you can search items by typing then here)
  3. A SHOPPING CART – use this icon.

To purchase items:

  • Log on to the ONLINE Page or directly onto the HERVET App
  • Click on the Item you wish to purchase then click the green button e.g.(join/renew, Buy now)
  • This adds the item to the cart – Click the cart in top right corner
  • This opens the cart showing your purchase
  • On this page you can add more items or “Continue to payment”.
