1. Gympie Round 2

A small but valiant band set off to Gympie today, keen to hold onto our lead of 84. Alas, those Gympie hills and well bunkered greens dashed our plans, while our Gympie opponents merrily posted scores of 40, 39 and so on down to 35 as their lowest counting score. We hadn’t even hit the board before they finished!! Rob and Desley both scored 33, along with Tony Smith. Paul, John and Sandra came in with 32 to make it into the ball run down. Ivan Hall and Jane Page won pin shots. Although Gympie won the Interclub by 28 points and we sadly had to leave the trophy behind, we did have the satisfaction of a number of raffle prizes to ease the pain. We can only hope for better golf next year??

Spring Carnival

The Spring Carnival begins next week in Bargara, and our HB events soon after on 13th and 14th Sept. The draw will soon start appearing on the Members Portal, but is a work in progress only at this stage, and locals can expect a number of time and tee changes before publication on Sunday 6th Sept.

Thanks to those members who have offered carts and cart spaces. They are very much appreciated. SK

4. Vets Online Payments

Online payments can be made using the “Online Payment” page shown on the main menu. However, it is quicker and easier if you set up the HERVET app. This is the name of Vets’ online payment app. To set up merely type payhbgv.square.site on your internet browser then add the page to your Home Screen. This will place the green Hervet app on your phone. If you would like any help doing this don’t hesitate to ask Wayne. Once you have loaded the app you can customize it to use Square Pay which simplifies purchases.

There has been an issue with using Square Online on computers and on some phones. It has been upgraded to solve this issue. The revised version now shows 3 new icons on the top right.

  1. A green outline square (please ignore that icon)
  2. A magnifying glass ( search icon – you can search items by typing then here)
  3. A SHOPPING CART – use this icon.

To purchase items:

  • Log on to the ONLINE Page or directly onto the HERVET App
  • Click on the Item you wish to purchase then click the green button e.g.(join/renew, Buy now)
  • This adds the item to the cart – Click the cart in top right corner
  • This opens the cart showing your purchase
  • On this page you can add more items or “Continue to payment”.
